Welcome to our Nido 2 Classroom!

Nido ("nest" in Italian) is a cozy and loving space intentionally designed for your baby's rapid development. This infant classroom serves children ages 6 weeks up to 18 months. Your child will develop their core and overall gross motor development in an apparatus free environment.

We sit together to enjoy family style meals with all of the children eating solid foods. Infants who are still exclusively bottle fed are held and provided undivided attention during their feedings. Mothers are welcome to come in during the day to bottle or breastfeed their infant on our gliders. When your child begins to meet the milestones of walking independently, self-feeding, free of the bottle and down to one nap during the day, they will transition into the “Infant Community” otherwise known as the toddler program.

What to Expect from the Nido Community

Ms. Andrea
Assistant Guide

Hello, I am Miss Andrea Santaquilani. I have been working in the Montessori community since 2014, as both an assistant and a head guide.  I received my Montessori training from the North American Montessori Center.  I am trained in infant to three years of age.  I enjoy working with these early ages, and watching how much each child  learns and grows in their first three years!  I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, being creative and working on writing and visual art projects.

Ms. Angie
Assistant Guide

My name is Britt-Anna Christensen. I completed my AMS training at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado, and love being in the classroom! I am a Colorado native. I grew up in Monument, CO and am now living in Parker. I am very close to my family. I have two amazing parents and one sister and we love to spend time together in the mountains, on trips, or just relaxing at home. I love to ski and snowboard, swim, play the piano, and explore our great outdoors. I also enjoy trying new restaurants with family and friends. I have a passion for fashion and traveling. I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in Antarctica in support of scientific research, and traveled all over Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji in the years after. I have worked with young children most of my life. I started as a volunteer coach for my swim team when I was 14. Throughout my many life experiences, I have discovered the immense importance of education. My goal as a Montessorian is to do my part in changing our world. Mahatma Gandhi says it best: “If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.” I am very excited to embark on this journey at Centennial Montessori, and work with the children of our future; to teach them to respect themselves, others, and their environment, to assist them in their natural development, and to instill in them a lifelong love for learning
