Ms. Theresa - Primary 1 Head Guide

Theresa Melhem is an AMI-certified Montessori educator with over 10 years of experience working with young children. She holds a Master’s degree in Plant Biology and Conservation and is deeply passionate about Montessori education, child development, and supporting each child’s natural potential.

Throughout her career, Theresa has worked as a Lead Guide in Primary classrooms, creating nurturing and engaging environments where children can develop independence, confidence, concentration, and a love of learning. She is especially passionate about peace education and helping children build empathy, respect, and strong social-emotional skills as they learn to become caring members of their communities. Theresa believes in following the child, fostering curiosity, and partnering with families to support each child’s unique developmental journey. Outside of the classroom, Theresa enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, hiking, and traveling. She is excited to join the Centennial Montessori community and looks forward to getting to know the children and families in Primary 1.

Ms. Kryslyn- Primary 2 Head Guide

​Hello! My name is Mackenzie! I have been working at Centennial Montessori since 2018. I started my Montessori journey as an assistant in a primary classroom and eventually ended up as a lead in the toddler community for almost 3 years after receiving my 0-3 Montessori credential. After my wonderful time with the toddlers I have decided to work towards my early childhood Montessori credential which has landed me back in the primary community!
I looking forward to building relationships with all of the children and their families! I love the curiosity and joy for learning with this age group and I am so excited to have found a home here in Primary 2!

Ms. Mai - Primary 3 Head Guide

​My name is Mai Her. I’m originally from California but fell in love with the beauty of Colorado’s mountains! In 2016, I obtained my Bachelor degree in Psychology at Chico State University in California. I have experience working with special needs children, supporting them with social skills and academic skills. In addition, I have worked as an assistant coordinator and as an assistant director of before and after school programs with primary kids. Besides working with children, I have also worked with low-income first generation students, providing them with academic advising as well as college resources. No matter where my career path takes me, I always seem to end up where it makes me the happiest, surrounded by little ones. I believe that every child has great ideas and potentials, and we as adults are there to only help them put it into action. “Help me to do it myself.”
